About PhotoReducer
PhotoReducer is a free suite of image tools — compress, resize, convert, crop to exact sizes — built on one principle: your photos are yours. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, so your images are never uploaded to a server. Not ours, not anyone's.
How it works
We compile the same battle-tested engines used by professional software — MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif, Oxipng — to WebAssembly, so they run at native speed on your device. When you drop a photo, your own computer does the work. That is why PhotoReducer is fast, free without limits, and safe for sensitive documents like ID and visa photos.
Free, supported by ads
The site may show advertising to cover its costs. Ads never affect your images — which, again, never leave your device. See our privacy policy for details.
Who is behind PhotoReducer
PhotoReducer is built and maintained by Computing Dev LLC, a small software studio in South Florida, United States. We launched the site in 2026 after too many afternoons helping friends and clients shrink a photo to "under 100 KB" for a visa form, a job portal or a school application — always with tools that wanted the photo uploaded first. We decided the tool should come to the photo, not the other way around.
Everything you see here is written and tested by people, and every tool is checked against real files before it ships. When something breaks or a format is missing, the fastest way to reach us is the contact page.
